JFL Announces 2013 Line Up!

The Just For Laughs Festival officially announced its Chicago 2013 Line up today! What!? Yep, I'm almost embarrassed to admit I've actually been waiting for this day with great anticipation. JFL, if you didn't know (and I sincerely hope no comedy fans out there are actually unaware of this festival), is one of the oldest and largest comedy festival organizations in the world. They started the Chicago branch of the festival in 2009 and it has taken off big time. 2013 marks the 5 year anniversary of the festival in Chicago and the organizers seem to be working hard to make this a special year. Right now it's looking pretty good, check out the lineup thus far.

Bill Maher
Seth Meyers
Bob Newhart
David Cross
Nick Swardson
John Hodgman
Artie Lange
Hannibal Buress
Al Madrigal
Maria Bamford
Dylan Moran
Anjelah Johnson
Impractical Jokers
The Whitest Kids U’ Know

Local Chicago comic, Chris Condren from JFL 2012.
Folks should be aware that JFL is notorious for making last minute additions up to the week of the festival. So if you don't see any of your favorites or your not super excited yet... Just wait, it gets better. Secret shows, smaller intimate venues, special guests and late night surprises are all part of the Chicago Just For Laughs mystique and appeal. It's hard to explain how freaking cool it is when you perhaps attend a show at a smaller venue (smaller venues = cheaper tickets) and a heavyweight like George Lopez or Dave Chappelle walks out. Not to mention the abundance of local Chicago comics that are usually booked to perform in the festival. This year should be no exception to that. We suggest you stay tuned to the website or follow the twitter feed for updates. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday (April 27th).
