Comedy sells...

We wanted to peep folks to the national "Lazy Phone" Moto X commercial campaign featuring former Chicago stand-up T.J. Miller. OK sure, Miller's been in major motion pictures like Transformers 4, so who cares about commercial work, no big deal right? Well, Motorola is now owned by Google which just has stupid deep pockets for marketing, and apparently also a fairly hip sense of humor since the spots are pretty fucking funny. See for yourself. But before you send hate e-mail bitching about what this has to do with Chicago comedy... hear me out. The overall point is more and more Chicago comedians seem to be getting commercial work, both nationally and locally, which is a good thing (we posted a few weeks ago about the Hannibal Burris's Nike spots). And again, sure Miller and Burress are big time now, but locally based comics in Chicago like Mike Lebovitz, Brian Da Wildcat Smith, Monique Madrid, and Timmy Brochu (plus many others) have all found various degrees of commercial work... just saying, comedy sells.

Check out the rest of the funny ass "Lazy Phone" spots...
