Simmer Brown!!

Prateek & Sameena
On Saturday, July 30th, Chicago-based stand-up comedy collective, Simmer Brown, returns with a new cast to continue its run of sold-out shows at the Bughouse Theater.

The comedy collective got some new blood by adding two veterans of the Chicago comedy scene to their crew. Jerry Tran and Anthony Bonazzo will join founders Sameena Mustafa and Prateek Srivastava, as associate producers, which should be a real powerhouse cast.

Simmer Brown, a Chicago-based, South Asian stand-up comedy collective, was founded by Sameena Mustafa and Prateek Srivastava in 2015. Their monthly show features Chicago's best stand-up comedians and underrepresented voices. Past lineups have included comics from Comedy Central, HBO, Just for Laughs, “Last Comic Standing,” and “America’s Got Talent.” Simmer brown has also gotten some great press to go along with the sold out shows. It's been recommended by the Chicago Reader & RedEye, listed as a Chicagoist favorites and was even plugged by the one and only Margaret Cho.
